 Glass recycling

Attn:  All Residents!

Did you know there was a glass recycling unit on the car park at the recreation ground, Church Road?

Wootton Parish Council receives money from Bedford Borough Council for glass recycled through that unit - and passes 100% of the proceeds on to a local charity - Wootton Poor's Land Charity.  The charity helps residents of Wootton who are suffering financial hardship - so please use the facility and help increase the amount available to them.

To speak (in confidence) to a charity representative, please contact Judy Hemery (07988 801174) or Peter Ackroyd (01234 768391).

Future Development along A421

Are you aware that Bedford Borough Council and Central Bedfordshire Council have plans for further development along the A421?  It may not be within our parish of Wootton but it will affect Wootton nonetheless.  The areas in question are detailed below but essentially run from the M1 to Shortstown.

Over 14,000 homes and 322 hectares of Employment land. A hectare is about a full-size adult football pitch.
